Couldn’t decide which was pitching more; the small plane or my stomach. Following take-off I thought I might do some reading. As the plane continued its ascent the pilot said, “we have a mechanical problem.” Just then I turned the page to chapter two and read these words, “You might not finish this chapter. You could die before you finish reading this chapter… Today. At any moment.” I showed it to my friend–he managed a weak smile. Once we landed we had a good laugh.
The fact remains life is uncertain. While we can, we must make the most of every opportunity; not for ourselves but for God and His glory. It was a good reminder at 4,000 feet.
